vanilla Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Hey guys, I contacted one of the graduate schools today and they emailed me back saying that my application is on hold. What does that mean????
squaresquared Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 are you missing some of the application materials? that would be my guess. Or maybe it is their term for 'waitlist'? not too sure.
Tunnel King Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 There are a lot of things that could mean. I doubt they'd give you your decision that way, so it either means it's missing something (but they probably would have told you what) or that it's under review and that you can no longer make changes to it. But you'd have to ask them to know for sure.
Haustier Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 I got the same thing like 2 weeks ago....was it from UNC? lol I tried inquiring what 'on hold' meant and was told that I'm not wait-listed, not rejected, and that my application is indeed complete....so that was no help. Let me know if you figure out what it means
vanilla Posted February 23, 2011 Author Posted February 23, 2011 I guess I will write them back again. And it was from SUNY-STONY Brook. Hopefully, it will turn out as an acceptance. I am still waiting to hear back from 6 other schools and I have not been invited to any interview except my safety school. The saga of patience continues....................
