husky
I was just wondering if anyone applied for the GEM fellowship. I thought decisions are made in February, but I haven't heard anything yet.

husky
How long ago did it say matched. I applied early for early consideration and seem to remember mine saying matched too. But that was months ago.

Topper
I have the exact same question, and I've had the same experiences. According to the schedule linked below, we'll be notified in February OR March. So technically the consortium has two weeks to decide and notify us. http://www.gemfellow...cess-a-schedule Also, my application said that my employer status was "matched" for a while, and then the employer status reverted to "unmatched". Who knows? It's been a while now, especially considering the "early consideration" designation I have. Good luck to all, and PLEASE post if/when you hear anything. Is anyone here bold enough to inquire by email?

socrates82
Hey, it's a relief to see that other people haven't been notified yet. I was told I had a good chance of getting this by my school's GEM representative, yet I haven't heard anything yet and it's already the 21st. My status also says unmatched. I went out and emailed the representative of a few companies I was very interested in working with last Friday afternoon, and haven't heard back yet, but some times it's good just to let them know you exist I guess. The application website has sometimes unclear or incomplete information I find, so if you want more info find out who the GEM representative is at the school you want to go to and ask them to check with their connections. They have access to more information I think..
Topper
I'm curious about the "university membership status" field, on the online application. One of the universities is listed as "membership pending", another is listed as "withdrew" although I don't recall officially withdrawing my application. THe rest of the universities, whether I was accepted or not, are listed as "confirmed members". Not much sense in worrying about this stuff, but worry I shall. Topper
I was also rejected Let's look on the bright side: We have to get accepted into a Ph.D. program in the first place, so let's hope we can all secure funding through traditional means... Yes. If I'm rejected by my other fellowships, then most likely I'll have to be a TA (or an RA) in the fall. Life goes on...
jimluis
Hello Guys, I have a question, were you rejected even when your status was matched? When you were rejected did you have an interview or not?
