sanv Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Hello, I have been granted admission for MS-Mechanical engg, Fall-08 in these two univ's. Now I know that TAMU is better ranked, but they have not granted me any aid. On the other hand, UC has granted me the UGS award. Now, TAMU->$23000 PA & UC-> $15000 PA and I am having problems deciding b/w these two coz of financial reasons. My question: 1) How is the job scene for UC-Mechanical after graduation? 2) Is TAMU worth the extra $8000? I mean, I have to risk a visa rejection if I decide to go to TAMU. 3) How is the AID scene in TAMU; Job scene after graduating from TAMU??
bearcat Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Hey, I can't speak for graduate program at UC. but I was an undergraduate ME at UC. Cincinnati is known as a big industrial city. We have GE Aircraft Engines head quarters, P&G. Toyota. A lot of opportunites for an engineer graduate. I received excellent offer from GE after received my BS degree in Mechanical Engineering. so, I would say the job market is good here at Cincy.
