PurpleBrain Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 hello! so i am happy to say that i got into CUNY (full funding) and i just found out that i got into Columbia (Teachers College). i am thrilled and i genuinely love both programs. at CUNY it is a phd in urban education and at columbia, it is in english education. i love both programs and the people i would get to work with. i am worried about funding from TC because they are known to not fully fund their students (which i don't quite understand...) the head of the department at TC has been in touch with me and says "we will do whatever it takes to have you at teachers college and we will ensure you are financially supported".....ummmmmm. that seems so vague to me. the professors who i would work with have reached out to me via email. also, the professors at CUNY have been amazing being in touch with me and answering all questions. they even have some current students emailing me and answering my questions. i feel like both schools are putting in serious effort, but i still would like to hear from current students in either of these programs. so torn at the moment...
