headingsomewhere Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Hi, Please has anyone heard from UNC? I've gotten rejections from all other schools I applied to in the US except for them- who I have received absolutely no news from. Is it just me? Is this even a good thing that it has been delayed this long?
Veta Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 UNC seems to be behind for just about everything - I was accepted for Economics very early (POI on the adcom?), but the 'first wave' hasn't gone out yet. It's a little frustrating because I'd like to know my financial package but won't find out until they actually send out those acceptances.
headingsomewhere Posted March 21, 2011 Author Posted March 21, 2011 Any idea when 'the first wave' would go out? I've been rejected by five schools and UNC is my last hope. I would like to know if I'm in or out- the waiting is driving me nuts.
Veta Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Based on last year's results (at least for Econ), it should be any day now.
pearljfan Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 i'm in the same boat of waiting to hear from UNC strategy phd after hearing back from all other schools... I've emailed and called the phd coordinator at Unc who did not give much information but said she would look into it. seems very late though.
adstatus Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Same boat here - marketing phd. At this point I have to assume I am an outright reject or a very soft waitlist. At any rate I'm bummed. UNC was my top pic.
headingsomewhere Posted March 24, 2011 Author Posted March 24, 2011 I am officially assuming a reject...
Vitaminark Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I am officially assuming a reject... Is this UNC Chapel Hill? Cause I got rejected several weeks ago (social psychology)
headingsomewhere Posted March 25, 2011 Author Posted March 25, 2011 Guess its just the business school that is confused
