Raistlin13 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Has anyone heard anything from the Social and Decision Sciences program at Carnegie Mellon? From what I've seen, the forums and results page have been relatively mute on that particular program... just wondering if anyone out there has had an interview, been accepted?
repatriate Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 If it helps at all, I heard back (rejection) by email on 3/25 last year, so it's still roughly in that range. Good luck to everyone who applied this year!
csocialpsy Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 I also have not heard a thing from their SDS program...
neuropsych76 Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 I applied to the cognitive program but checked the box to be considered to the SDS program as well. Haven't heard anything. But... i'm emailing the couple schools I haven't heard from this week so i'll post if i hear anything relevant
cogneuroforfun Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 I applied to the SDS program two years ago and did get an interview (or maybe it was an open house/already admitted thing, I'm not positive). I got the word quite a bit before now (like mid/late February), but their timeline might have changed since then. This was for the Behavioral Decision Research track, and I indicated I would want to do the joint Psychology/SDS track when I could.
CAN Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Unfortunately, if you were not invited to the Open House in February it is unlikely that you were admitted. They told us we were the last 10 people being considered. I was there and heard a few days after (March 3 or 4) that I was accepted. I think the only people on the waiting list include those who were at the Open House but not accepted immediately. However, it could be that they are "informally" keeping other people on the waiting list without telling them. I am not sure.
