I know they aren't degree-granting programs so I wasn't sure if it's appropriate to post them on this site... but since I'm already a grad student in the arts, figured I'd give it a shot! truthbetold Posted March 31, 2011 Share Posted March 31, 2011 for what it's worth, many people who get in to skowhegan have applied 2,3, 5 times. notification on that goes out around april 6. word is that you need letters from someone who has a connection to / teaches at the whitney program to get in there. yasshole Posted March 31, 2011 Author Share Posted March 31, 2011 (edited) Hmm... my rec letters for ISP are from former employers that I've stayed in touch with, who are definitely known to the people who teach at Whitney. Hopefully they're on good terms with most! (same 2 as I put for reference contacts in Skowhegan). But my recommenders don't teach in the ISP themselves. Assuming rejection, but would like to know for sure. Rejection letters are in the mail. I heard there aren't interviews this year, people are getting in based on their application.
