BRAUN223 Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 For all of you who have attended/are attending/or have been accepted, what were your stats? (GPA, GRE, UG, ECs, etc)
cr91b Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 I'll be attending KSG this fall (MPP program). My stats were: 3.5 GPA in Econ (Ivy), GRE: 760 quantitative, 650 verbal, 5.5 analytical writing (taken only once). I was involved in the leadership of some political groups in college. As for work experience, I had one summer internship abroad in my junior year and only one year of work experience when I applied. My work experience however is a quant-heavy econ research position that probably compensated for the short duration. Just to give you an idea of where this gets you.... I applied both to Harvard KSG and Princeton WWS and was rejected by Princeton. They post their GRE stats here: http://www.princeton.edu/pr/facts/profile/07/graduate/ As you can see, the GRE averages of WWS acceptees aren't super-high, but I think the ad com there cares a lot about having lots of work experience and demonstrating substantial evidence of public leadership. At KSG you can probably get away with having less work experience... I know one person from my school who went directly to KSG from undergrad, but he had a really strong GPA.
