Hello,

I'll be an exchange student next year (non-degree exchange graduate student) and I plan to reapply as a degree graduate student for Fall 2009. However, there seem to be a limit of 12 credit hours (1 semester) which can be transfered towards the degree program, which means that one of my semester would be lost. Do you know if this limit can be changed through a petition process or is it impossible to modify?

Cheers!

It may not be possible to modify. Would it be possible for you to complete some kind of certificate so that you'd have another line for the CV?

Thanks for your answer.

I don't think so.

On my CV I can honestly write that I attended the Master program, even if I do not have the Master (without being ambiguous of course).

I see another solution, which could be to do 20 credits during the 3rd semester; do you know if this is an acceptable workload?

I'd check with the school and the program. 20 credits in one semester is a lot. At my old school, that would be 7 courses...
