Angie_88 Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 (edited) Has anybody heard from the Biomedical Engineering Department of Columbia? I applied in November and still haven't heard anything from them. I was wondering if there are other people in the same boat. Edited April 11, 2011 by Angie_88
theflash7269 Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 I haven't heard a word either. The said mid-December that my application had been sent for review but still nothing. I emailed them this morning asking for an update but everyone I email forwards me to a different person so I'm not sure if I'm gonna get a solid answer.
Angie_88 Posted April 11, 2011 Author Posted April 11, 2011 I mailed them once in Feb and they said the decisions will be out by Mid-March, so I mailed them in the last week of March and they said that the applications are still being processed and they'd tell me as soon as possible. Now it's the 2nd week of April and I mailed them a couple of days back; this time they decided not to reply haha. What's going in with them?! Have you applied for a PhD or Master's degree btw?
theflash7269 Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 (edited) I applied to the MS leading to PhD. Did you get invited for an interview? I wasn't so I'm not really expecting to get it but I still would like to know either way. But on the results page it did look like a few people were admitted early on and then last week someone who applied for PhD was offered a Masters instead so I'm not sure whats going on Edited April 11, 2011 by theflash7269
theflash7269 Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 just got this response: "Thank you for your e-mail. The department is hoping to announce decisions within ca. 1-2 weeks; thank you for your continued patience!" 1-2 weeks?!?!
Angie_88 Posted April 11, 2011 Author Posted April 11, 2011 Nope I didn't get an interview either. 1 or 2 weeks?! Are they serious? How can they take so long, wasn't there some sort of a deadline to adhere to?
