mechengr2000 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 (edited) I currently have an MS in Mechanical Engineering. I am starting a PhD in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in computation this fall. I have the option of doing a second MS along with it, in either Applied Math, Physics, or Chemistry. After graduating, I would like to work on projects related to energy, water, food, and medicine. Which discipline do you think in order to help me work on these problems? Eigen Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 You don't really give me enough information to go on... All three of those have applications in each of your areas of interest, but unless you know what you're interested in doing, it's hard to narrow down any further. Offhand, I'd say if you're interested in the computational end of things, an applied math degree would be the most help.
mechengr2000 Posted May 4, 2011 Author Posted May 4, 2011 I'll think about it more and then post a cogent thought.
