Great, something else to worry about. Anyone a first year applicant that had to change their password?

I'm a first time applier, and I didn't have to have my password changed. Darn, I guess that means I probably didn't get it. Oh well :(

Zomg, only an hour until the server goes down and they post the rezults!

Yeah... I'm skeptical about that. The last there was "scheduled maintenance" and everything was supposed to be shut down, I could still get it the whole time. I think this means nothing. Again, I'm not worrying about anything until I get that e-mail. Then I'm either going to drink, or I'll go drink.

Congratulations if you got it! But I'm skeptical because everyone has 30 days to accept the award -- and 01 May is less than 30 days from today...

No idea, it's just what was at the bottom of the email. Maybe the contractor sends email from an Australian server? Makes no sense to me, but we'll see.

I really don't see why anyone would register a domain name just to include a line that isn't actually even necessary in constructing a fake email. Maybe I'm just naive.

hmm...good point...

but since no one else is verifying, I think this is a fake...and note that the person just joined the forum...hmm, reminds me of something that happened earlier today...

Since I don't have an NSF GRF, I can't say where I normally would get their emails. However, I know whenever I do get e-mails from the NSF GRFP system, I get it from "grfp@nsf.gov", which routes through ursa.nsf.gov (Postfix) to kava.nsf.gov (a gateway).

It would really be something if this is a targeted phishing attack... :D
