letsjustgo Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 I've submitted all of the required materials to six Near/Middle Eastern Studies M.A. programs. Is there anything I should/could do in the meantime? I hadn't planned to contact any faculty or schedule campus visits, but I feel like I should do something. I'm normally a very proactive person... waiting quietly goes against my nature (but perhaps that is the best course in this circumstance). Any tips?
timuralp Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 The only thing I did was do some more research as to what faculty at each school is doing and I held off on contacting them until I was admitted in the respective programs. Other than that just sit tight, I guess

Contacting faculty will seem like you're trying to suck up. Scheduling a campus visit shouldn't be done until after you've been admitted.
