I've submitted all of the required materials to six Near/Middle Eastern Studies M.A. programs. Is there anything I should/could do in the meantime? I hadn't planned to contact any faculty or schedule campus visits, but I feel like I should do something. I'm normally a very proactive person... waiting quietly goes against my nature (but perhaps that is the best course in this circumstance).

Any tips?

The only thing I did was do some more research as to what faculty at each school is doing and I held off on contacting them until I was admitted in the respective programs. Other than that just sit tight, I guess :)

There's really nothing else you should do. Contacting faculty will seem like you're trying to suck up. Scheduling a campus visit shouldn't be done until after you've been admitted.
