karencorson Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 My university has a 3-day orientation/retreat planned for the incoming class (counseling psychology students) at the end of the summer. It's going to be at a beach resort and I am super excited, however I have no idea what I should pack/wear. Do you suppose it's going to be casual or should I plan on bringing more professional attire? It's suppose to be from 9-5 for three days, from what I understand this retreat is going to be mostly lectures with some participation. Just getting a bit nervous and want to make sure I am prepared. Thanks so much in advance
eat.climb.love Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 I am clueless on the attire thing.. Perhaps you could ask the department secretary? I DO think it is super-cool that you have a beach retreat.. That sounds like the best orientation that I have heard of!
far_to_go Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Sounds fun! If it were me, I'd go for business-casual during the days, with more relaxed beachy attire for the evenings. I'm assuming from your username that you're female- how about some summer dresses that can be dressed up with a cardigan during the day and thrown over a swimsuit at night? Enjoy!
