So, I just sent all of my transcripts to graduate schools, and as I returned to my books to study for finals, I wondered if the grades in my current classes would matter at all. Are they going to request an updated transcript before they decide whether or not to admit me? Just curious...

The school you end up attending will probably want an updated transcript from you after you get your bachelor's degree (or whatever degree you're currently working on).

Updated transcript for your enrollment but not before then.

If your grades are stellar for the term, definitely send in an updated transcript with a cover letter asking the committee to look at them. If they're not so good, don't send it in unless they ask for it.
