What are my chances? International Applicant

Hello everyone,

I am applying to the Political Science /International Relations PhD programs for entry in Fall 2009.

I applied last year as well, but did not get the results I wanted. I was accepted, but without scholarship. Probably I aimed too high and applied to the very top universities.

I have an undergrad GPA of 3.76 (International Relations). I did an MA in European Studies in Amsterdam and graduated with honors.

My GRE scores are: Verbal: 570 Quantitative: 760 Writing: 5.0 (could do better especially here!)

I got 119 out of 120 from TOEFL, but I don't know if that matters at all!

I have more almost 3 years of work experience, including traineeships in international institutions in Europe and the US. I work for a big NGO now.

What could you say about my chances of getting in this year, given the current conditions?

I just wanted to get your opinion.

Thanks a lot in advance and good luck to all...
