fireworks82
Hello everyone, I am applying to the Political Science /International Relations PhD programs for entry in Fall 2009. I applied last year as well, but did not get the results I wanted. I was accepted, but without scholarship. Probably I aimed too high and applied to the very top universities. I have an undergrad GPA of 3.76 (International Relations). I did an MA in European Studies in Amsterdam and graduated with honors. My GRE scores are: Verbal: 570 Quantitative: 760 Writing: 5.0 (could do better especially here!) I got 119 out of 120 from TOEFL, but I don't know if that matters at all! I have more almost 3 years of work experience, including traineeships in international institutions in Europe and the US. I work for a big NGO now. What could you say about my chances of getting in this year, given the current conditions? I just wanted to get your opinion. Thanks a lot in advance and good luck to all... jackassjim
Same as last year? One thing's for sure, funding is not going to be easier to get this year, with the hit that many unis' endowments took with the recession and all...
