Oxm450 Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Hi, I'm madly interested in applying for 2012 entry to the Stanford MCSC. I graduated from oxford university last year with a First (not sure exactly how this translates but was top 5% of class). I studied PPE which is philosophy, politics and economics, specialising in economics (>50%). I've been coding for a couple of years, although by no means to a conceptually or academically high standard. I understand that the course takes those who don't have a computer science, which is great, but I suspect this largely refers to those with more directly scientific degrees? Is there precedent for someone with my background being admitted? How typical is it, and how do my 'credentials' match up to the requirements..? Thanks!
