grimmiae Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 How do you think that admission committees will weigh the new revised GRE scores? Do you think they will view them as less important due to the restructuring of the test? Or- that they will view them in the same way that they did for the old GRE? I've heard different things, so just looking for other opinions.
Rachel B Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 I'm guessing they will weigh them the same since it's really the only thing that puts all potential candidates for admission on the same playing field. I spoke to a graduate program director for a school I'm considering and they told me they were in favor of the way the Verbal section was restructured because it puts further emphasis on meaning in context and reading comprehension as opposed to just knowing the definition of the word. sollee 1
