politici Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Good job on the info man. Damn, turned down by Yale. 2-3 you talkin to me? you are welcome
politici Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 My Yale decision is up on the website and it's bad news. Good luck to everyone else. Where do you see it on the website? I log in and see what I was seeing before, it says "submitted".. is that a good sign? huuh
PollyTheory Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Alas. I join the ranks of Yale rejects. First news was not good. Let's hope the news gets better - fast!
natofone Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Also rejected from Yale. Doh! What is up with the 8,500 applicants?!? I'm guessing that they mean to the graduate school as a whole and not specifically political science.
IRHopeful Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Where do you see it on the website? I log in and see what I was seeing before, it says "submitted".. is that a good sign? huuh I just logged in and scrolled all the way down (below the application submitted part) and saw a link saying that my application decision was available.

PollyTheory Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 i sure wish someone would call UVA and ask whaz up??????? Ha, I would but reeling off my recent Yale rejection doesn't really put me in the mood for taking any chances. I'd rather receive one, rather than two, rejections on a Friday Does anyone have any intelligence that Berkeley has actually MADE decisions or are we just going off of past years?
PollyTheory Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Also -- makes me feel much better to know all of you incredibly smart, qualified folks ALSO received the "no" from New Haven. Thank God for thegradcafe. Also -- how am I still on decaf??? EDIT: not that I am pleased any of you got rejected, but I know I am in good company!! CONTINUED GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!

plisar Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Post about seven more and you'll be up to a better title. Yeah, New Haven is no fun.
catchermiscount Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Post about seven more and you'll be up to a better title. Yeah, New Haven is no fun. New Haven is no fun because we will not be there. Were we there, New Haven COULD be fun. We could have been something, New Haven! We could have been something awesome!
BigCheese Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 yikes.. so far no news from Yale.. very very nervous..
IRHopeful Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 New Haven is no fun because we will not be there. Were we there, New Haven COULD be fun. We could have been something, New Haven! We could have been something awesome! Yep, this is spot on.
natofone Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Poor us. Crossing my fingers for those of you that haven't been dinged.
convex Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Well, since it's Yale, they probably just randomized you guys into treatment and control groups, so don't worry about it.
poliscihopeful Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Akh, ty durak Dzhon! I was rejected by Yale. Those magnificent bastards. I feel like I've let Dean Acheson down. I'm going to shave off this ridiculous mustache.
IRHopeful Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Got into Yale! Congratulations, at least one of us got in!
