Hi All,

I am narrowing down my list of schools to apply to this year (PhD), and a grad friend of my suggested I look into both NYU and UCLA. So far, I am applying to UT Austin, U of Toronto, American, and Berkeley. I have been researching thse 4 programs for a while, but do not know as much about NYU or UCLA.

My interests are in activist/applied anthropology and anthro of corporations with a regional focus in South America. I am wondering if anyone can give my some advice if these programs would be a good fit. Recently, the possibility of taking at least some courses in ethnographic film-making seems appealing, so NYU could potentially be a good fit.

Any info (or suggestions for other programs!) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
