hopefulepistudent Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 I'm having a little trouble figuring out what to write for the community service section of SOPHAS. I am applying for PHD programs in epidemiology and got my MPH a couple years ago. Since then, I've been working full-time and most volunteered in 1 time events such as Race for the Cure and other assorted festivals. Should I even bother putting those on the application? I did do a lot of volunteer work in undergrad and grad school but only sporadically since I got out. Should I put the old volunteer work from college in the application? Any insight would be great!
vielglueck Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Yes, I do think that any of your volunteer experiences related to public health are useful in your SOPHAS.
