chupi1289 Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Hey guys, I'm new to this and heard this was a good site for help. I just graduated in May and didn't about grad school. To be honest, i thought i'd get a job pretty easily. The job market is pretty rough out there. I graduated with a degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics(one major lol) and Economics. I'm looking to go to grad school for Applied Mathematics or Statistics. I live in North Jersey which is close to NY. I'm looking to stay near home but if i have to, i'd go dorm again. Please help with which schools have good programs for the path i want to pursue. I appreciate it a lot. Thanks!
Matt W Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Use google to find schools in the area which offer graduate programs in math, applied math, or statistics. Note the programs for which you have overlapping research interests. Look at the typical course offerings. Decide on which schools to apply to.
mathpharmgrad Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 look into NYU, Rutgers New Brunswick, NJIT, Stevens...in that order
