July_Hunter
Took the general GRE. Preparing: Started off severely behind on the math (ex: having never taken a single geometry course, not having used math in 5+ years). Spent time learning about 800 new words. 25 a day felt slow, 50 a day felt easy, but very time consuming. Tried Princeton and Kaplan books. Kaplan felt like it was over-preparing me. Princeton felt more my speed. Thoughts: The experimental section was extremely obvious to identify. Every word learned past 500 felt like a waste to me. Another 500 might've had a marginal increase on my score. Results: Estimated score at the end came up 650-750 on both sections. Expect my lowest possible writing score to be 5.5 Edited October 2, 2011 by July_Hunter
