How far in advance do you usually need to schedule the GRE?

I'm using http://securereg3.prometric.com/siteselection.aspx#0016 right now, and it's giving me 3 days. But on the other hand, it sounds almost too good to be true.

Not sure how different it is up here in Canada, but you typically don't have to give much notice. 3 days sounds about right. What it really boils down to is the availability of testing time slots in your area.

Last time I heard it was 3 days, but then again if you are in a location where a lot of people take the test you will have to register sooner, because most places only have so many spots for test takers.
