jjr8888 Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Hello So does anyone have any impressions of the Art Institute of Boston? Any alum out there that can tell me about it? I know that the MFA program is a low residency program, which I am not sure about. I also know Boston is a great town but I would not have to live there, just visit from time to time.... but what is it like to attend a low residency program? Since you have to work with your own adviser, it seems like you would have more independence. Also, it seems like it would be well suited for mature adults. Less residency means less socializing, hence less appeal to the young ones looking for a group to click with... Maybe this is wrong? Let me know what you all think!
nimda Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 I know students there; it seems like they don't have enough time around each other; and really most of the time they only have one advisor in the city where they live. Very lightweight compared to full residency programs for the most part.
