eruannon Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 I am currently in law school and am interested in entering a Masters of Public Policy program after graduation. My law school is a well respected top 25 USNews ranked institution and my grades are above average. The only problem is my undergraduate GPA is quite low, ~2.9. Can anyone give me an idea of what my chances are of getting into a well respected program in the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic (Kennedy, Maxwell, Georgetown, Duke, etc.), assuming a strong GRE score? Thank you in advance.
adollarninetynine Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 with a 2.9 you are out at the top schools.
carpecc Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 I disagree, you're JD makes up for your undergrad grades, especially the further away your undergrad degree is. You can probably into one of the good schools. Maybe not Kennedy, but maybe the others. I'd give them a call and ask where you stand with your credentials. You can get into Duke I bet.
