Eligible for big deal school fellowship- but need to increase GRE scores

Hey all,

I received my first program interview invite today for sometime in late January. In the email I was told that the department wants to nominate me for a large $ fellowship through the University. It would however, require me to first retake the GREs and score 50 or more points (in total).

I took the Old GRE in May, scored 720 M, 560 CR.

I took a few of the new GRE questions as part of my experimental section.

How difficult would it be to improve one's score 50 or so points on the new GRE? I would need to take the test sometime late December in order for the Dept to have my scores in mid-Jan.
