GRE test prep to admission by fall 2012

Hi

I am trying to prepare a plan to reach my destination i.e MS by 2012 Fall

Can anyone please help me out with the time line like

by which month next year I should take the GRE ?

by which month should I apply for admission to the universities ?

etc...

It all depends on what schools you are looking at. They all have their own application dates, and that is when you should be applying by. With the GRE, you should take it when it depends on when those application are due by, in the sense that you should take it soon enough that the scores would get there by the time that the applications are due.

So I suggest you should figure out where you want to apply to (soon?) and take the GRE as soon as possible. I don't know what the normal deadlines for most MS programs is, but I expect that like most programs they are due at latest due by Feb. or Mar. at the latest.

Thanks for the prompt response, that was really helpful. I started preparing for the new GRE from yest, planning to take the test by first week of Feb or by Jan last week.

GRE exams taken in 2012 are unlikely to be scored before application deadlines.
