EquationForLife Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Hello, I'm applying to PhD programs in Biophysics/Biochemistry...I have decent research experience but my GPA is a little low (3.3). All the programs require a General GRE (640V, 800Q, 5.5) but most of them say that a subject GRE is optional. I took the GRE chemistry and got a 810 (80 percentile) and was wondering if I should submit that score, or if it will hurt my application since its worse than my general GRE. Thanks for the advice.
contretemps Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 If it's not really required or even recommended then don't send it. In my case, I was just thinking of the extra $23 I would spend for each school so I sent them all to the 4 schools (for free) I'm applying to even if they are not really excellent scores.
