Hello Everyone!

I have noticed that most of the schools that people talk about tend to be from the States. I thought that maybe this could be a topic where people who applied to schools in Canada could post when they hear from them in regards to acceptances, rejections, and interviews. I applied to Clinical, Developmental, and Counselling.

So far I have had interviews at Brock and McMaster, but have not heard anything from anywhere else.

Hey my Canadian comrade..

I applied to a couple of Canadian schools, but mostly US (I'm a dual citizen). I heard from U of T, unofficially (my current boss would have been my advisor and she let me know that my application crossed her desk) but I declined because I already got positive responses from schools I was more interested in in the US. I also applied to UBC but hadn't heard anything and withdrew my app a couple of days ago.

Good luck with your interviews!

Thanks!

Anyone else who applied to Canadian schools?

Here is my list, in no particular order (I know there is a lot! I am slightly neurotic)

McMaster (had phone interview)

McGill

Calgary

UNB

UBC-Okanagan

York

Western

Dalhousie

MSVU

Brock (interview)

Windsor

Manitoba

Acadia

Concordia (told I will be contacted shortly, not really sure what this means) :|

I applied twice to McGill (linguistics/psychology), twice to the University of Toronto (ditto), and once to the University of Waterloo (just psychology). Nothing from McGill so far. U of T psychology is interested; I did a casual phone-interview and was invited to the recruitment-weekend. As for U of T linguistics and Waterloo psychology, I think I'm going to withdraw my applications; those were backup choices, and with one and a half acceptances amongst my top three choices, I already have a difficult decision to make.

Hey has anyone heard from UBC for anthro??

I emailed the grad secretary. She said the offer emails should be out this week...not sure if that's a definite.

How well regarded is Psychology@ McMaster?

The MINDS program (neuroscience) is better, I think. It's very clinical focused. But if that's not your thing, experimental at McMaster ain't bad.
