short description?

I'm applying to UCSB and they want you to write a short description of each piece you submit for your portfolio. I have no idea what I'm supposed to say in this short description. What should I do?

I might use it to elaborate on the medium and do more of a physical description, my pieces tend to have multiple parts to them. I would go with whatever you feel like could be explained to the viewer further after looking at your images.
