sis_ong Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 I took my first gre sometime around november 2010 and the second one during november 2011. My gre scores are as follows for the 1st/ 2nd test respectively Verbal 147/ 148 Quant. 155/ 154 Writing. 3.5/ 3.0 Though I wanted to improve my verbal and writing scores, I did not achieve it. I would like to know how these scores( without any improvement) would affect my application and should I explain about them in my sop. Please advice. sis_ong 1
Rachel B Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 The general rule is that most schools look at your highest score. There are some exceptions and you would need to look at specific programs' policies . Also, what exactly would you say in your SoP regarding your GRE scores?
emmm Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Don't say anything about it in your SOP. Save the space to present yourself as positively as possible. As long as you met the requirements for your program, it should be good enough.
