sociology27 Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 For people applying to U. of Michigan... when you go on the U-M Pathways thing and check your application status... does it have the status of both your transcripts and recommendations as "not received"? That's what it has for me and it has me worried. My actual application has my recommendations submitted and I know that I mailed my transcripts a month ago. So I'm wondering if this is just a glitch in the system...
ThisSlumgullionIsSoVapid Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 You might want to e-mail the department. Some places are slow on updating the accounts because so many applications come in and it turns into a long drawn out process. The same thing happened with my UT-Austin application. I had everything in but it was listed as incomplete for a while. I e-mailed and then a few days later it moved to completed.
sociology27 Posted December 22, 2011 Author Posted December 22, 2011 Karlito- There's no trace of my writing sample in mine either. Also, it says that the recommendations were not submitted, although the online application confirmed their submission. I think the system is just backed up and they haven't updated it. The fact that we both submitted our stuff, yet cannot locate it in the credentials section leads me to believe that it's a system glitch.
allhandsonthebadone Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 When I checked mine I saw my hard copy of a transcript I sent personally was not recorded and everything else was. However whenI called the grad school they told me not to worry that the important thing is that the same transcripts uploaded by the time applications are reviewed. Hope this helps!
ohhello Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 I'm having problems as well. One of my letters is listed as "not received" even though all of my materials and credentials were confirmed (with confirmation emails for the letters).
DeeLovely79 Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 You should give the department a call. I am apply to U Michigan in a different field but I have experienced the same issue. I spoke to the administrator in my prospective department and she told me that she had recieved everything but she had updated the system to reflect that. I submitted my application 6 weeks ago and I spoke to the staff person four weeks ago and my application is still listed as incomplete.
