csmith88 Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Hey all, I submitted my application to NYU for Organic Chemistry on the 14th of December. However I just read that the dealine was the 12th and this whole time I thought it was the 15th. I realise this was a foolish thing to have done but it still let me submit my application. Does this mean that my application is just immediately thrown out? Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks, Craig
galipettes Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 you should call the dept and find out if they'll still read your application.
Helpplease123 Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 I agree you should call but not to be too negative, I think you'll be very lucky if they'll consider it...
runonsentence Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Consider whether you feel like gambling the application fee. They will most likely simply cash your check and not look at your application.
csmith88 Posted December 26, 2011 Author Posted December 26, 2011 Well i had already paid and i have received emails saying saying my application has been processed. So i dont know. I have emailed them so hopefully they will get back to me.
A Finicky Bean Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Well i had already paid and i have received emails saying saying my application has been processed. So i dont know. I have emailed them so hopefully they will get back to me. It is doubtful, in my experience, that they are going to email you back. If you really want to know (besides what it posted online), I would call the department directly because then you will know that you'll get an answer right away if a person answers the phone, rather than floating an email off into the ether. Good luck!
csmith88 Posted December 31, 2011 Author Posted December 31, 2011 Just received an email back and they said it will get full consideration as there is a grace period! That was lucky! Energy&Environment 1
