Safferz Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 *sob* one of my LOR writers couldn't upload his recommendation for Yale -- technical issue. It'll miss the deadline now, though I've already submitted my application. Yale is my top choice. Long shot anyway but with no letter ... my chances are even slimmer. maybe they'll be nice like Northwestern and forgive a late rec. Fingers crossed. Don't give up so quickly! Apparently Yale has a special email address in the email your referee should have received from the application, they'll help him/her through the technical issues. I was having issues with one of my referees as well, so what I did was delete the recommender and re-register them on the application so they received a fresh link and it worked perfectly. Try that and see if it helps, this is your top choice after all so try everything in your power before resigning yourself to an incomplete application! ecritdansleau 1
bakedalaska Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 By way of consolation, precisely the same thing happened to me last year with my Yale PhD app. in philosophy. I arranged things with the dept. secretary and all turned out well (or, well enough, as the late letter was included in my app. but I wasn't granted admission.)
