amsokol Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Hi Guys! I'm starting the process of applying to grad school this spring. I am currently deciding whether I want to go to an MFA directing program or do a performance studies MA/PhD because, while I ultimately want to direct theater, I find that research is sacrificed for "studio" work in MFA programs. What are directing programs that offer extensive research opportunities or performance studies programs that allow you ample to time to create your own work? Location is not important to me. Thanks so much!

belenbattiste Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 (edited) Both acting and directing has got its own benefits. So choosing the appropriate one should only be done what your heart desires. There are someĀ performance studies programs that are flexible and will be useful for you. Edited October 23, 2013 by belenbattiste
