CoffeeStainedMemos Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 Today I received an email from Columbia U. about a particular one year Masters program, however when I checked the details of the "send" information, I found out that there was a specific recruitment agency via which Columbia U. had contacted me. Strange... Last month I did send an application to Columbia U, but that was for a different (though slightly related) program, and also for a PhD degree instead of a Masters... Has anyone else received such an email? What does it mean?
elmambo Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 I suppose you allowed ETS to give information about your GRE score.
CoffeeStainedMemos Posted January 19, 2012 Author Posted January 19, 2012 Hm, don't remember that I did, but I guess you're right. Thanks
Grunty DaGnome Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Columbia's English Phd application allows you to apply for related MAs when you apply for the PhD. I don't remember now exactly what the deal was, but you did have to pay a second application fee. I'm not sure why, but pushing different yet unrelated MA applications seems to be part of their recruitment plan.
