BOS26140 Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 I was just accepted for GW's speech-language pathology grad program for next fall. They use a rolling admissions process. My letter of acceptance says I need to submit the enrollment form within a week of the date of the letter however I don't think I'll hear from any of my other schools until March! Does anyone know if I say I want to attend (and am willing to pay the enrollment fee) if I can decide not to attend after hearing from more schools?? It's way to early for me to make this decision and I haven't even visited the school!
ToxicBear Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Have you tried calling them to see if you can have more time, or at least express your concern? Did they list any financial incentive to going to that school? If they've got fin. aid for you, perhaps you could compare to the other schools' websites to see if there's a reason to wait. I know several of my schools listed the traditional expected stipend amount on their sites.
gouache Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 They cannot legally make you decide before April 15th. http://www.cgsnet.org/Default.aspx?tabid=102&ctl=InstSearchResult&mid=437&TYPE=REGION&VALUE=NORTHEAST
Italophile Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 They cannot legally make you decide before April 15th. http://www.cgsnet.or...VALUE=NORTHEAST There is nothing whatsoever about this resolution that LEGALLY binds an institution to do anything. The worst that could happen is that the institution gets a slap on the wrist, and if a repeat offender, gets removed from the list of signatories.
