No information here, although I'm curious to see if anyone else knows something. However, according to the results survey from previous years, it looks like Duke English usually sends out rejections both before and after some acceptances, and I haven't seen that happen yet. Of course, it's possible that Duke is doing things differently this year, but I'd like to think the adcom is still making decisions, since rejections haven't started flooding in. :)

If you haven't heard from them yet with good news, you can scratch Duke off your list. I just called Kathy Psomiades, DGS. She says all acceptances and waitlist notifications are out and rejections are being prepared. 312 applications, 15 spots. She did offer a bit of commentary on my application over the phone, but nothing too specific. My area of study (postcolonialism, posthumanism) apparently had a strong applicant pool. Kathy was pleasant over the phone and regretful about having to inform me of bad news. I don't envy her this job.

One school down. Ten to go.

I'm going to man up (or wuss out, as it were) and give them a call. I'll report back in a minute with whatever I hear.

YES LET US KNOW PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. <--- This process has resigned me to this.

I wimped out and went the email route (to Kathy Psomiades). I'm expecting a rejection, which is fine, because anything is better than this purgatory of waiting. Once I know for sure about Duke, at least I can move on! Best of luck to everyone.

I love Kathy Psomiades! The opportunity to interact with her, even it were her telling me I was rejected from Duke over email, would be incredible. Not that I believe that's the response you are going to get at all! Best of luck!

Oh, damn. I missed this. Well, at least I have 10 more to go... :(
