tt503 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 doing yoga makes me happy. once I get an extra stash of cash lying around, i want to do a certification course and teach that part-time as well. it's just really working a different part of your mind than all this reading. i'm an introvert, so: watching downton abbey. bubble baths. reading for pleasure that have nothing to do with anything i study (though c. wright mills would beg to differ). trying out new recipes.
MashaMashaMasha Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 days without clouds and mountains on the horizon Fellow Seattlite, you had me at this ^ Also: the great lakes, the puget sound, reading in front of the fireplace with my partner, days in the garden, my dog when she wags her tail so hard that she smacks herself in the face with it, bike rides, fresh food, cooking and wine, and that moment in jiu jitsu when something you try actually works.
abc123xtc Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 ^Ohhh, you reminded me: Dick's burgers, eating food at Pike Place Market, clear skies...
MashaMashaMasha Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 ^ @Masha: My housemate's dog used to curl up on the couch with her tail across her nose, and when she saw one of us come in, she'd open one eye and wag her tail so that it smacked her face. It didn't seem to faze her one bit Ha! I love it!
dizzid Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 This is a hard question for me. At the most basic I would say my family and my inner circle of friends. By family, I really mean my mother. My father passed away 5 years ago and I'm not very close to my brothers so it's really just my mom and me. We talk/email several times a day and she makes me literally laugh out loud. Sometimes I call her for a quick 30 seconds just to say hello. My inner circle and I have been friends for 15-20 years. We've managed to maintain friendship from Brownies through highschool and our early 20s. It's about seven us and we still have sleepovers and scrapbook. Knowing that they are rooting for me through this entire process makes me happy. They're also at the same time GREAT reality checkers. "Dawn got into _____, well don't forget two months ago when she got lost on an island with only one way off...". Love them. On a more superficial level: I like to dance, in clubs, my bedroom, the grocery store, wherever. And I also like to sing, in my car, at karaoke, the bathroom, wherever. I also really like going on vacation, wherever. kbirch 1
