I heard that the admissions committee has not finsihed their decision making and will need another couple of weeks. So how do you know that you have been excepted

It's my top choice but I'm finishing a few visits first.

I am confused. I called the DGS and he told me that they haven't finished their admission process yet. What's going on?

I got a call last Friday from the DGS and have gotten the official letter from the dean. I already knew I'd go if accepted, so it is an easy decision for me!

OK. So maybe they have notified a couple of students already but are still considering if they want to offer admission to some other candidates as well. Otherwise the DGS wasn’t telling me the truth about the decision making process

Did they call you up for an interview or did they only notify you about the offer?

Only about the offer. I don't think they ever interview.

Found out in January about my admission into the M.Ed program, but only just now found out about this site! Vandy is by far my top choice, but not sure if I can actually attend yet due to funding. I received only a partial scholarship, sadly. Have you folks spent much time in the Nashville area?

I've spent quite a bit of time in Nashville and Middle Tennessee. It really is a great place!

I've only ever been to Knoxville one night for a concert and then Nashville one night to rest before I went to Bonnaroo. Those 6 days represent the whole of my time in Tennessee, so needless to say, my experience with the area is little at best and consists almost entirely of seeing music and sleeping in cheap motels (or tents!).

I'm personally a little fearful that Vandy has a ton of traffic in and around the school...I'm trying to get away from that big city traffic jam
