greenparker Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Hey Guys, I got through UMN phd stats, and am waiting for Purdue to reply. In case Purdue does accept me, I would have a very tricky decision to make. I have no specific research area as yet, but I am not tending towards Machine Learning (strong for Purdue). I would like a good balance between applied and theoretical. Personally, I am tending towards UMN. any suggestions. Thanks, P.S. I am half hoping i dont get through Purdue now!
cyberwulf Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 If applied stats for the biosciences is of interest to you, UMN has the advantage of having a highly-ranked Biostats department in addition to Stats.
