Dubya Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Almost immediately after submitting applications my thesis began to change direction. My current topic (that won't change since there is no time for it to) is only slightly related to what I wrote about in my applications, but more closely correlates to the work of two of my potential advisors. I realize that it's usually frowned upon to contact profs when decisions are being made, but is it worth taking a risk and sending out an e-mail addressing the issue?
miratrix Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 I'm not sure if an email that says "hi, just wanted to let you know that my research has changed TOTALLY in the last two months" is a great idea...it would probably be a lot more useful to ask your advisor and MA professors than us, though, they're a better resource
Dubya Posted February 9, 2009 Author Posted February 9, 2009 Of course I'll ask them too...you all are just so much more accessible though!
