My current topic (that won't change since there is no time for it to) is only slightly related to what I wrote about in my applications, but more closely correlates to the work of two of my potential advisors. I realize that it's usually frowned upon to contact profs when decisions are being made, but is it worth taking a risk and sending out an e-mail addressing the issue?
