clover123 Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I heard from them this morning. They waitlisted me for their MPA Fall 2012 program. Has anyone else gotten on the waitlist? Or has anybody been put on the Cornell waitlist in the past ? Would love to hear from anyone. I was a bit disappointed this morning since it's one of my top choices, but I'm hoping I hear good news in the next few weeks.
Chipembere Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 I was told I would hear from them this week. At least you're on the list! Where else did you apply if you don't mind me asking?
clover123 Posted February 20, 2012 Author Posted February 20, 2012 Other than Cornell, I've applied to NYU Wagner, USC, The New School and UMass. Good luck! Hope you hear back soon. Let me know how it works out
Chipembere Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Heard back a few hours ago. Accepted for next fall.
Erewhonful Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 awesome! congrats Hey, I got an email from the AO saying I was put on the waiting list too. Did they say they would review your application again in the next 3-4 wks? I m really nervous right now.
clover123 Posted February 28, 2012 Author Posted February 28, 2012 yup! they said another 3-4 weeks for the final decision. Basically another 2 weeks for me since I heard about 2 weeks ago. Drags this whole process. sigh
legallyproper Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 I was told I would hear from them this week. At least you're on the list! Where else did you apply if you don't mind me asking? Hey what is your opinion on Monterey Institute I got in with a decent financial scholarship package. Just wanted your thoughts, thanks.
Chipembere Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Hey Legally, My impression of Monterey is that it is solid. I think it is diverse program with some really talented faculty. I believe the program tends to be very hands on and is thus is considered a sort of 'professional school'. It's definitely not for everyone, but if you feel it can best meet your needs or particular interests I certainly wouldn't write it off. Personally, it is out of the running for me because of better offers elsewhere, but with your $15k/yr I'd look into it thoroughly and talk to as many students/alumni faculty as I could. See if you think it can best help you reach your long-term goals. One of my close friends who is very qualified just decided to go there. Congrats on your great admits and funding so far and Good Luck during the decision making process.
Shanthanu Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Hi Chipembere, I see you are currently attending CIPA's MPA. I have got admitted for 2014 Fall and I want to know how you find the school and the classes as such? Would really appreciate some feedback.. Thanks
