Funding decision will not be made until late Mar. So now what?

Hi folks,

I got an acceptance letter (PhD) yesterday but it was said the funding decision will not be made until late Mar. I acutally have contacted one of my POI before but he siad he is out of money this year. So what should I do now? Contact the admission office asking for TA positions? Or do nothing until the decision is made and see what they offer me (fellowship?) I mean would it be silly if I ask for TA but actually they are thinking to offer me a fellowship? Thanks for any advice.

I wouldn't bother contacting them. They already know your POI doesn't have funding so they're going to be considering you for the range of funding available in the department anyway
