Does anybody know what are the stengths of the following finance PhD programs?

Yale SOM

Cornell Johnson

Wharton

Wisconsin

Chicago Booth

I am actually interested in behavioral finance. It seems that Yale is strong in this subfield. However, I am also concerned with the job prospect. I would like to be a finance professor, but I also want to find a subfield which is also popular in industry. So I can easily find a job either in academia or private sector. Which subfield should I choose? Any comments are appreciated. Thanks.

Why not Princeton? Or do they not have a PhD program? I've heard going there for finance was like getting a golden ticket to do just about anything you want in finance

Oh, and Wharton/Chicago are well known for finance. Yale SOM...not so much at all. I was a b-school prospective for quite awhile (even toured Yale SOM).

Yeah, I'd say the top finance programs are Chicago, Wharton, and NYU. I think they are strong in all areas of finance. I'm not sure if you've noticed, but it seems like every other professor has a degree from Chicago. ha.
