there is no topics related to civil engineering, especially the geo-eng.

I am now a master student in the Geo- engineering. I found it is not easy to find a job and for some reasons, i lose my interest in this field.

So, i'm planning to transfer to statistics.

Guys, how about this decision?

Need your opinion.

At least in Chile, Geotechincal Engineers are very scarce and most of them get a job right after (or even before) graduation. However, the Chilean education system requires 6 years of study in order to get the civil engineering degree + a 2 year master in geotechnical engineering in order to be certified as a geotech.
