Sociology/Crim Lady Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 So I accidentally applied for the Spring 2012 semester instead of the Fall. The application deadline was Feb. 1, and I just received an e-mail saying they had made admissions decisions, but don't do Spring admissions, so would I like to defer to next year? Yeah, no. I mean, I absolutely accept that this was a stupid error on my part, but I am kind of miffed that they couldn't go "hey, she applied for admission for a semester that's already happening, maybe that was a mistake? Let's shoot her an e-mail and ask her." Grumble. R Deckard 1
TropicalCharlie Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 I wouldn't be too hard on yourself unless UD is one of your top choices. The error, though significant, is excusable considering the number of applications you were handling at the same time. If UD is one of your top choices, I would call the grad coordinator and find out what your options are. Btw, congrats on UGA and Kentucky!
john-smith536 Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 I would try calling them to see if they can slide you in. Most schools I have called have been extremely polite and helpful over the telephone. One school manually submitted my application 2 weeks after the deadline.
